Our Story

We started Baked Elegance Bakery with a passion for baking delicious treats that bring people together. Our recipes have been passed down for generations and we take pride in using only the finest ingredients.

Baked Elegance Bakery is locally owned and operated in Grand Junction, Colorado. It was founded in 2025 after owner Candyce Galvan decided to take the dream of our bakery and turn it into a reality. Our goal is to provide our community with the best tasting baked goods every day. We strive for perfection with our deliciously crafted recipes, and we are excited to share them with our community.

At Baked Elegance Bakery, we specialize in creating delicious and beautifully crafted baked goods. Our wide selection of cakes, pastries, and breads are made from fresh, quality ingredients and are baked fresh daily. Our expert bakers use traditional techniques mixed with modern techniques to create classic treats as well as unique and innovative designs. Each item produced by our bakers is filled with love for the craft and pure passion for baking. We keep our bakery special by obtaining the ability to create baked goods for all members in the community, including those with special dietary needs. Our bakers are able to bake items that follow special diets such as gluten- free, vegan, and low sugar. Meet the Owner

Owner & Operator

Candyce Galvan started baking with her grandmother when she was a child. Her grandmother used to make big cakes for weddings from her kitchen, giving Candyce the opportunity to watch and learn the delicate process. As a child, Candyce learned how to make frosting flowers and gum paste flowers, which sprouted the passion for cake decorating and baking. She watched her grandma cooking and baking, and she learned from a young age how to decorate these big extravagant cakes and make all kinds of desserts. In addition to baking and cooking, her grandmothers and grandfathers on both sides of her family taught her how to make cookies and breads, and so much more. Growing up, she spent a lot of time learning how to do so much from her parents, grandparents and her aunts. She also learned how to work with ceramics, wood working, welding, bead working, pottery, drawing, painting and sewing. In 2022 Candyce started making and selling coloring books on amazon as well. Candyce also learned how to play the piano is also proficient in playing the upright bass for orchestra.

Candyce graduated high school in 2015 from Central High School in Grand Junction, Colorado. In 2019 she decided to go to culinary school after ending her studies in music education. In 2021 she graduated with her Diploma in Baking and Pastry Arts from Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts. Since graduating from culinary school, she has worked towards building a path to making her dream of owning and operating a bakery into a reality. Candyce spent the last ten years working in retail, climbing the ladder up to team lead positions while beginning the stages of creating Baked Elegance Bakery. It is with full pride that she continues to build the business and build the dream. Working in a kitchen now, she is simultaneously working and turning the dream of a bakery into a reality.

Key Pointers to think about while applying for any position in our company.

Requirements are as follows:

You must be able to pass a background check and drug test. The drug test will cover any federally banned substances including and not limited to Marijuana.

You will need to have a food handler's card.

Register experience is needed and you will be asked to pass a basic skills test in order to be considered for any position in the company. You need to be comfortable talking to others and working with others side by side as this will be a working team environment. Our crew members need to be able to have great communication skills and great customer service skills. You must be able to problem solve and follow basic instructions and procedures. We take pride in our appearance and therefore maintain logical personal hygiene and clean and presentable attire and thus must be maintainable in order to qualify for any positions within our company. Baked Elegance Bakery does not discriminate against race, ethnicity, or religion.

Commercial baking experience is always preferred but not necessarily required. As a company, we love working to build on our skills as well as those that are just starting out.
